Like you, I hear a lot of words everyday. These are some words I find myself going back to, I share them here in hopes that you will find something special in them too.
“In order to love yourself, you first have to have someone love you.”
It’s easy to frown on people who doesn’t seem to have love to give. But the truth is if someone doesn’t love themselves, chances are they have never been loved before. So instead of telling these people to find ways to love themselves, we should show them what love is and give them the reasons to love.
“Love is the will to extend one's self for the purpose of nurturing one's own or another's spiritual growth... Love is an act of will -- We do not have to love. We choose to love.” ― M. Scott Peck
This quote teaches me how to love someone, it also reminds me that love is not only instinctive and that we can always choose to give love.
Whenever I have a friend in need, I think of them as the main character of a Disney movie and I ask myself “How can I be the best sidekick to them?” ― Sahitya
Compassion as defined by one of the most generous and loving person I know.
“What makes us love a child isn’t something about the child—it’s something about us. We don’t care for children because we love them; we love them because we care for them.” — Alison Gopnik
Care begets love. Another reminder that love is a choice.
